Kicking off 2025 with an absolute powerhouse—Stevie, our first Member of the Month of the year! 🎉
Stevie is the definition of strength, resilience, and commitment. Juggling motherhood with a young one and a newborn, she’s been consistently showing up, pushing herself in workouts, and even breastfeeding mid-class—because nothing stops her! Through personal challenges, she’s continued to prioritize her health, bringing baby Marley and her daughter along during the school holidays while still crushing it in the gym. She’s looking amazing, moving strong, and inspiring everyone around her. Let’s get to know more about her journey! 💪✨
Q: What initially drew you to functional fitness and 312 Fortitude, and what keeps you coming back?
A: I needed somewhere to train where I could bring my baby with me. I came across a post on IG featuring 312 babies and decided to give it a go. From my very first class with Aunty Salu, I felt welcomed—whānau vibes from the start! 💖 Oh, and lots of SOB and pain. 😝
What keeps me coming back? The aunties and uncles! 🤣💯 Shoutout to the 9am crew!
Q: Can you share a highlight or memorable achievement from your time at 312 Fortitude?
A: Competing in the in-house games last year with Aunty Tash as my judge—her motivational words? “Hurry the f*** up.” 🤣
Q: What’s your favorite movement or exercise, and what do you love about it?
A:Resting. 🤪
Q: How do you maintain your motivation and enthusiasm for functional fitness?
A: Had a good day? Work out.
Had a sh*t day? Work out.
Big emotions? Work out.
No emotions? Work out.
It’s about both physical and mental well-being.
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time outside of the gym?
A: My baby is 9 months old… what’s free time? 🥴 My girls keep me busy, but I’ve always been a reader. 😊
Q: Do you have a favorite book, movie, or TV series/show that you would recommend?
A: Dune 2 saw me through the newborn stage. 😌
Books: A Fine Balance, Kite Runner, Jessica. 📚
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A: Kruger National Park!
Q: If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting their functional fitness journey, what would it be?
A: Feel the fear and do it anyway.
Stevie, you’re an absolute inspiration! Balancing motherhood, life, and training is no easy feat, yet you show up, put in the work, and keep pushing yourself, all while making everyone around you smile. Your strength—both mental and physical—is what makes you such an incredible part of the 312 whānau. Here’s to more gains, more PBs, and maybe even a little bit of that free time in 2025. Keep being amazing! 💪🔥
