Additional Safety Considerations

  • Spotting and Lifting Safely: Always have a spotter during heavy lifts and practice proper form to avoid injury. Seek assistance from coaches if unsure.

  • Emergency Lifting Blocks: Use lifting blocks for failed lifts, located by the platforms.

  • Hydration: Ensure proper hydration during and after workouts to prevent heatstroke or dehydration, especially in high-intensity workouts.

  • Floor Surface Awareness: Be mindful of equipment on the floor to avoid trips or falls. Keep your workout area clear during exercises.

Working Out After Hours (24-Hour Access):

  • Ensure all doors are locked when you enter and exit the gym.
  • Notify someone (a friend, family member, or gym staff) that you are in the gym and working out, especially if training alone.
  • Always check that you have your phone handy in case of emergency.
  • Be cautious when performing high-risk movements and avoid heavy lifts without a spotter.

Children in the Gym:

  • Children are welcome to be present during social activities, warm-ups, or cool-downs.
  • During lifting pieces or workouts, children should be held or specifically looked after by a responsible adult.
  • For safety, children can be in the front room, contained by the baby gate if needed.

Dogs in the Gym:

  • Dogs are welcome at the gym, but they should be kept on a lead and tied up in a location that is not in the path of members running, lifting, or entering/exiting the gym.
  • Ensure that dogs are tied up in a safe place to avoid any accidental collisions with members during workouts.
