Meet Coach Tish
Coach Letitia, aka Tish, is one of the true pillars of 312 Fortitude. 💜 She’s not just an amazing coach – she’s the reason many of our members have found a home here at 312. Known for her patience, wisdom, and relentless pursuit of growth, Tish brings a unique blend of strength and heart to everything she does.
Whether it’s her own training or coaching others, Tish is both relentless and patient. She pushes herself to improve every day, always learning and refining her skills, while showing the same dedication to helping others reach their goals. Her infectious smile, caring nature, and tireless commitment make sure that every member feels supported and welcome. She’s not just here to coach – she’s here to lift you up, both physically and mentally, and help you reach your potential.
Q&A with Coach Tish
Q: What’s your favourite movement/workout in the gym?
A: My favourite movement is snatches, and my favourite workouts are Isabel and the CrossFit Total.
Q: How long have you been coaching or CrossFitting?
A: I’ve been CrossFitting for 7 years and coaching for 3 years.
Q: What’s one piece of advice you give to every new member?
A: Be excited, be patient, be consistent. Be excited about all the new things you’re about to learn, and take every opportunity to practice them. At the same time, be patient with yourself. It takes time to get the technique right and build up the strength for many movements you’ll learn. Lastly, be consistent – keep turning up and putting in the work.
Q: What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
A: I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to finance! In my downtime, I read books and listen to podcasts about equity investing, property, KiwiSaver, retirement, home ownership, the economy, budgeting – the works. I also have a million spreadsheets for tracking my budgeting, investing, and savings. 📊💡
Q: What’s one thing you always tell your athletes?
A: Never stop learning. There’s always room for growth. Be a student and continuously work on your technique, strength, mobility, and endurance.

Q: How did you get started in fitness?
A: Growing up, I was a golfer for about 8 years before I switched to rowing for 2 years. When I started uni, I stopped playing sports altogether. Eventually, I learned the hard way that exercising every day is essential for a healthy lifestyle. That realisation, along with incredible support from my partner, led me to the doors of 312 Fortitude in September 2017 – and I haven’t looked back since. 🏋️‍♀️
Q: What motivates you as a coach?
A: Helping people thrive. I’ve experienced poor physical health, and I know how it affects every other aspect of life. I’m passionate about helping people regain and maintain their physical health so they can live a fuller, more vibrant life.
Q: What do you enjoy most about being part of the 312 Fortitude team?
A: I joined 312 Fortitude to get healthier, but I stayed for the community. The Forti Fam supports me in being the best version of myself, day in and day out, in all aspects of life. I love my Forti Fam 🫶🏽.
