Meet Coach Luke

Luke is known at 312 Fortitude for his technical approach, great teaching style, and unmatched energy as the ultimate hype man. Whether it’s giving spot-on cues to help you nail your technique or showing up in his signature crop and tights, Luke is always up for a challenge and ready to bring the fun. He’s been CrossFitting for 7 years and coaching for 4, and he’s all about helping athletes feel that moment when everything clicks.

Q: What’s your favorite movement/workout in the gym?
A: Power cleans/Fran.

Q: How long have you been coaching or CrossFitting?
A: CrossFit for 7 years, Coaching for 4 years.

Q: What’s one piece of advice you give to every new member?
A: Listen to your body and take time to supplement your training with accessories and stretching.

Q: What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
A: I was bedridden for 6 months having a tumor cut out of my head when I was 20/21.

Q: What’s one thing you always tell your athletes?
A: Have fun.

Q: How did you get started in fitness?
A: Played rugby and cricket throughout school, then wanted to get back into fitness after uni, and a mate introduced me to CrossFit.

Q: What motivates you as a coach?
A: Seeing people ‘click’ with movements or technique and the results that follow. I love watching athletes gain confidence when they can control their body and mind.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being part of the 312 Fortitude team?
A: The vibes, the support, and the competition.
